Fried Tempeh

This is a very easy yet delicious recipe. You can eat
   this as a snack or serve it with steamed rice. Makes 4
   servings.

2 cloves crushed garlic
1 cup water
salt to taste
1 (8 ounce) package tempeh
2 cups vegetable oil for frying


Directions
1 Place the garlic in a small mixing bowl. Pour water and
   salt into the mixing bowl, mix well.
2 Slice the tempeh 1 inch thick and score both sides of
   the tempeh. Marinate the tempeh in the garlic, water and
   salt mixture for 20 minutes.
3 Pan fry the tempeh in a skillet with oil. Brown the
   tempeh on both sides.

   based on a retention value of 10% after cooking. The exact
   amount may vary depending on cook time and temperature,
   ingredient density, and the specific type of oil used.
